“Molly” Powder or Crystal Form of MDMA, is Popular at Music Festivals.

“Molly”, which is short for “molecule,” is pure MDMA, a chemical used to make Ecstasy. According to CNN, the drug has been increasingly popular at music concerts this summer, mainly because Molly users tend to be young adults between the ages of 16 to 24. The Drug Enforcement Administration has labeled MDMA a Schedule 1 controlled substance as it has no medicinal value and it is linked to high incidence of abuse. The side effects of “Molly” are severely dangerous and can include: faintness, paranoia, teeth clenching, nausea, sweating, blurred vision, kidney and cardiovascular failure, as well as death.
