Jasmine Bisett, LCDC-Intern at Kagey Family Counseling
From Jasmine

Every person deserves dignity and compassion.

I serve as an LCDC-Intern and Administrative/Client Services Coordinator for Kagey Family Counseling. I came into this field because of a love for helping people grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their lives. I have always been drawn to working with people, and after some time in Human Resources I realized I wanted a role that allowed for deeper connection and the opportunity to make a more direct impact. Working alongside such an incredible team of clinicians has further inspired my passion for counseling and continues to shape me as I grow in this field.

I am especially passionate about working with adults and find it deeply rewarding to witness the progress, resilience, and growth that can emerge throughout the recovery process. I consider it a privilege to be part of that journey and am inspired again and again by the strength and determination of the individuals I serve.

My interest in addiction counseling is also shaped by personal experience. I have lost a family member due to substance use and have seen the effects addiction can have on loved ones. Those experiences have reinforced my commitment to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and respected.

As an LCDC-Intern with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and additional addiction-focused training, I am committed to ongoing learning and professional growth. My approach is warm, friendly, encouraging, and kind. I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves, sharing their experiences, and exploring the changes they hope to make. I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity and compassion, and that lasting change is possible when individuals feel supported.

Outside of work, you can usually find me spending time with friends and family. I enjoy reading and working on puzzles, which help me recharge. I am also a lover of music and dancing, long board games, and spending time in nature.
