Refer a client to our team
A specialist team for the addiction piece of your client's care. We work alongside therapists, physicians, attorneys, HR leaders, interventionists, and treatment centers so the client gets consistent, coordinated support, not a handoff.
You know your client. We bring the addiction expertise.
If you're seeing a client whose progress keeps stalling because of alcohol, drug use, codependency, or a partner's active addiction, we can plug in without taking them away from you. You stay the primary. We handle the piece that needs a dedicated substance use lens.
- Psychotherapists and counselors whose clients need added structure around substance use
- Psychiatrists and primary care physicians coordinating medication and recovery support
- Family law, criminal defense, and employment attorneys managing court or workplace mandates
- HR and EAP leaders whose employee needs are outside the EAP scope
- Interventionists handing off a loved one for ongoing outpatient care
- Residential and inpatient treatment centers stepping clients down into PHP or IOP
Specialist support, without the silos.
When a client comes to us from another professional, we treat that relationship as part of the team. Here's what that looks like in practice.
Thorough assessment
We conduct a clinical substance use assessment and send you a clear summary of what we're seeing, what we'd recommend, and why.
Coordinated care
With signed releases, we stay in contact about progress, setbacks, and changes in level of care. You're never guessing what's happening in our room.
HIPAA-compliant communication
Written releases, secure messaging, and clear documentation. Nothing leaves the practice without proper authorization.
Follow-through
Clients don't fall through the cracks between sessions. We flag no-shows, confirm next steps, and loop you in when something changes.
The right level of care
Individual counseling, group therapy, IOP, PHP, SOP, or intervention. We help you pick and adjust as the client's needs shift.
Family support
Many of our clients come in with a partner or parent who needs their own counseling. We can hold both sides of the work under one roof.
From detox to stepdown, we meet clients where they are.
Many of our clients arrive after residential or inpatient care. Others come straight from a primary therapist who's reached the edge of their scope on substance use. We're built for both. PHP, IOP, SOP, weekly group, and individual counseling are all offered by our practice, so your client doesn't have to rebuild trust from scratch every time the level of care changes.
- Direct step-down from inpatient and residential centers
- Support for clients managing trauma alongside substance use
- Medication management coordination with your psychiatrist
- Reentry support for court-involved and workplace-mandated clients
The easiest way to refer is to call.
Linda Kagey, the founder and director of the practice, takes referral calls directly. Five or ten minutes on the phone is usually all it takes to figure out fit, scheduling, and level of care. Email is fine too if you'd rather send a written summary.
For a written referral, please include the client's name, age, primary concern, and whether you'd like us to coordinate care with you going forward.
