A lot changed about meetings in 2020, and some of what changed stuck around. Plenty of Houston meetings moved back in person, plenty stayed online, and plenty offer both. This post pulls together the links and phone numbers that have held up as reliable starting points for anyone trying to find a meeting here.
Our offices are in Houston, so that is what we focus on. If you are outside the area, the world service office links below will get you to a meeting wherever you live.
Houston AA meetings
Houston Intergroup keeps a running meeting list at aahouston.org/meetings. You can search by day, time, location, or meeting type. Active meetings show up as active. If a meeting is online, the Zoom link is listed right on its page. If you would rather talk to a human, their phone line is 713-686-6300.
The Lambda Center in Houston, an LGBTQ twelve step recovery clubhouse, keeps its own list of in person and online meetings. Scroll the homepage at lambdahouston.com and the schedule is there.
Houston Al-Anon meetings
Texas Al-Anon maintains a regional meeting directory broken out by area. For Houston specifically, scroll to the Southeast Texas section, Area 53 Texas East, and look for the Houston online meetings Google Sheet under District 5. The sheet is kept current and covers day and evening meetings across the week.
Houston ACA meetings
Adult Children of Alcoholics runs a searchable world directory at adultchildren.org/meeting-search. Enter your state or zip, set a distance, and hit search. Every meeting shows an "updated on" date next to it so you can tell what is current.
To get contact information for a meeting, click "Meeting Contact" under the listing and then agree to maintain confidentiality. It takes a few clicks to get to an email or phone number, but the information is current.
The Southeast Texas ACA Intergroup page has not been updated in a while, so use the world service search instead.

This is not a full list of every twelve step fellowship in Houston. It is enough to get you connected or keep you connected, which is usually what matters most.
If you are struggling with an active addiction, or if you are living with someone who is, we are here. We offer individual counseling, couples work, group therapy, and family counseling. We also work specifically with codependency. When more structure is needed, we have an Intensive Outpatient Program and a Partial Hospitalization Program. Most major insurance is accepted for both.
